A minap arra lettem figyelmes, amikor a gyerekeim strandlabdákkal játszottak (hiába, már a nyarat várják), hogy Dani énekelgeti a Play Along labdás dalát. Az a strandlabda épp egyszínű volt, így nem igazán volt alkalmas arra, hogy mutogassuk rajta a dalban szereplő színeket, így gyorsan elkészítettük a képen látható labdát ennek az oldalnak a segítségével. (A mintát kb. kétszeres nagyításban nyomtattam ki, hogy elég nagy legyen a labda, és nem kézzel, hanem géppel történt a varrás.)

Így már lelkesen mutogatja mindkét poronty a labdán a megfelelő színt, még Eszter is, pedig ő akár unhatná is már.

Ha dalokat hallgattok, megtanuljátok ezeket és éneklitek, nagyon sokat kaphattok: gyermeked megismerheti a nyelv ritmusát, nyelvtani szerkezetek is rögzülnek a fejében, új szavakat tanul a dalok által, bővül szókincse. A zene hangulatot teremt (alkalmas például a “tombolók” lecsillapítására, vagy épp ellenkezőleg, a “szontyoli” gyerekek felrázására). Alkalmas arra, hogy nemszeretem, rutinszerű feladatokat (pl. a kézmosás ilyen nálunk) mókává tegyen. A zene motivál, játékká, élvezetessé teszi a tanulást. Mivel a kicsik leginkább a cselekvés által tanulnak, nagyon sok dalhoz kapcsolhattok mozgást is – nagyon fogják élvezni! A tudás elmélyítésében segítenek, ha például háttérzeneként hallgattok dalokat más cselekvés, tevékenység közben (pl. rajzolás). Átmenetként is használhatsz egy adott  zenét (jelzésként, hogy idegennyelvű percek következnek vagy épp végződnek).

Szuper egyszerű és mégis mókás dalokat találsz a Super Simple Songs CD-ken, melyeket kisgyerekekkel foglalkozó nyelvtanárok készítenek. Devon, Troy és Tanja Japánban, Tokióban tanítanak kicsiket angolra, és maguk írnak dalokat, hogy még szórakoztatóbbá tegyék a tanulást. Sok ötletet is megosztanak az érdeklődőkkel honlapjukon. 2. The Caterpillar

When a caterpillar becomes a butterfly, it’s called a metamorphosis.

Where their bodies grow and prepare for a big change)

3. Inchworm

An inchworm lived on a wide green leaf. Day after day she measured the leaf.
“I’m tired of measuring the same leaf” – the inchworm said one day. “I want measure the world.”
She inched  along the leaf: one inch, two inches, out onto the stem. Three inches, four inches. Halfway up the stem, the inchworm met an ant.
“Where are you going?”
“I’m measuring the world.”
Five inches, six inches. “The world is huge. Everywhere I crawl, I see mountains of sand, rivers of dirt. No one can measure the world.”
“I can.”
Seven inches, eight inches. Up the stem, passed another leaf. Nine inches, ten inches. Purplap! A grasshopper landed on the leaf.
“Excuse me, please. I’m measuring the world.”
“Do you have any idea how big the world is? Everywhere I hop I see wide green trees, tall yellow plants. No one can measure the world!”
“I can.”
Eleven inches, twelve inches, passed a flower she inched. Thirteen inches, fourteen inches. A bee popped his head up over the flower.
“What are you doing?”
“I’m measuring the world.”
“Can’t be done. Everywhere I fly I see endless fields of flowers. The world goes on forever. No one can measure it up.” “I can.”
Fifteen inches, sixteen inches. Up the stem, and onto the topmost leaf. Seventeen inches, eighteen inches. The inchworm inched to the edge of the topmost leaf. Nineteen inches, twenty inches.
And off the end she fell front end over tail end, back onto her very own leaf.
“Twenty inches long. I knew I could measure the world.”
It had been a long day. All the way to the end of the world and back. So the inchworm stretched out on her very own leaf and fell asleep.

Green leaves,
Yellow leaves,
Red leaves, and brown,
Falling,

Oak leaves,

Ajánlják még hozzá Lois Ehlert Leaf Man c. könyvét, ami tényleg szupernek tűnik (valódi levelekből készült az illusztráció, a kiadó oldalán jobb oldalt a Sample Page-re kattintással bele tudunk nézni), van hozzá egy színező-feladatlap is (a leveleket lehet kivágni és összerakni a saját levél-emberkénk  – lásd Activity Sheet ugyanitt).

A Ladybug-ban van egy mozgásos dal is egy madárijesztőről, ezt is megtaláltam kicsit más verzióban:

És egy (remélem ) örömhír: a nagy érdeklődésre való tekintettel egy újabb ajándékot lehet megnyerni mától, megint csak egy héten át, szeptember 10-én, csütörtökön délig (ezennel kinevezem ezeket a napokat Nyerő Csütörtököknek) .
